The idea
A warm mid-century living room built around a teal sofa and a mustard armchair, with walnut tapered-leg tables and a large geometric rug that hides the tired beige carpet. The existing brick-and-oak fireplace stays as the focal point. The sofa moves to face it and the large window, with sunburst and brass details tying back to the fireplace's brass screen.
Palette: Walnut wood, deep teal, mustard yellow, cream and warm off-white, with brass accents. The beige walls stay as a neutral backdrop.
